Residents of Tsangayar Rama, a community of over ten thousand people, have expressed deep gratitude following a historic outreach by the wife of the Jigawa State Governor, Amina Umar Namadi.
For years, community members said they felt neglected despite their large population, noting that no previous administration had extended meaningful assistance to them.
That narrative changed during the recent visit of Dr. Amina Umar Namadi, who distributed relief materials including rice, pasta, cooking oil, and clothing to vulnerable families.
“This is the first time we are witnessing such support from any administration.
“We have never been remembered like this before. We sincerely thank the First Lady and the government of Malam Umar Namadi for coming to our aid,” one resident said.
In appreciation, the people of Tsangayar Rama pledged their continued loyalty to the First Lady and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Amina Umar Namadi stressed that the Jigawa State Government does not discriminate in delivering the dividends of democracy.
“Our administration is committed to reaching every community, regardless of location.
“This outreach is part of our effort to ease the hardship faced by families during the holy month of Ramadan and to ensure that vulnerable people receive the support they deserve,” she said.
Dr. Amina Namadi assured residents that steps would be taken to facilitate their voter card registration, urging them to actively participate in the democratic process.
“We encourage everyone to register and obtain their voter cards.
“Your participation strengthens our democracy and ensures your voices are heard,” she added
Also addressing the gathering, Chairman of Birnin Kudu Local Government Area, Dr Builder Uba commended the First Lady for her compassion and grassroots-focused initiatives.
“The First Lady has demonstrated genuine concern for the wellbeing of our people.
“Her dedication to grassroots development is highly commendable,” he said.
