Jigawa State Governor Buries Mother

The Mother of Jigawa State Governor in North West Nigeria, Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar who died Wednesday has been laid rest.

In a press statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Hamisu Gumel, Maryam was buried in accordance with the Islamic injunctions same day at her hometown of Kafin Hausa.

Several mourners and sympathisers attended the burial including the Kano state Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf who consoled with the Government and the people of Jigawa State.

In a press statement by Governor Yusuf spokesperson Sanusi Bature, prayed for Allah to grant the deceased eternal peace and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Also, in a condolence message, the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin commiserated with the Jigawa State Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi and prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and admit her to Jannatul Firdausi.

In a statement by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau urged Governor Namadi and all those she left behind to take solace in the fact that Hajiya lived a righteous life dedicated to the service of Allah and humanity.
