Nigeria’s leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to attend the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit.
The Presidential Jet conveying the President touched down at the King Abdulaziz International Airport at 10:00am (local time) Sunday.
President Tinubu is in Saudi Arabia on the invitation of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to participate in the summit that will focus on the current situation in the Middle East.
It would be recalled that the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, made known in a statement that President Tinubu will address the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict while emphasising Nigeria’s call for an immediate ceasefire and the urgent need for a peaceful resolution in the region.

He also made known that Nigeria will equally advocate for renewed efforts to revive the two-state solution as a pathway to lasting peace in the region.
The Joint Arab-Islamic Summit will begin on Monday, November 11, 2024, and the city of Saudi will play host to leaders across the globe.
Key Nigerian officials, including the minister of foreign affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, accompanied the President.
Other members of the entourage who accompanied the President are the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris; and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Mohammed Mohammed.
After the conclusion of the summit, President Tinubu will return to Abuja.
