The member representing Langtang North and South Federal Constituency of Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, Hon. Beni Lar has won the Federal House of Representatives ticket of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP primaries for the forthcoming 2023 elections.
Lar polled 70 votes to defeat her closest rival, Mr. Gideon Nanden, who scored one vote while three delegates were absent at the voting centre.
The Chairman of the primary election committee for Langtang North and Langtang South Federal Constituency, Mr. Solomon Abdong, declared that Hon. Lar was the election winner as she polled 70 votes out of 74 votes.
Shortly after declaring this, Hon. Lar thanked the delegates for their confidence in her and dedicated the victory to her constituents.
She assured them of her determination to merge on the gains of the past by providing effective representation.
In the Jos East/Jos South Reps PDP Primaries, a serving Federal lawmaker, Hon Dachung Musa Bagos, scored 34 votes.
Then, the immediate past speaker of the Plateau state House of Assembly, Hon. Abok Ayuba polled 25 votes. While the son of the former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, Pam Jang, polled zero votes.
Also, the newly elected member representing Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Musa Agah Avia, won the primaries for the party, the PDP.
