Justice Salisu Garba sworn in as acting Chief Judge

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Ibrahim Muhammad has admonished the newly sworn-in Acting Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, to uphold the mantle of transparency and dispassionate disposition in the discharge of his responsibility.

Justice Muhammad stated this at the swearing in of the Acting Chief judge, Justice Salisu Garba,  in Abuja, Nigeria’s Capital.

According to the CJN, “I hereby urge you not to commit any infraction of the oath of office you have taken”

The CJN also passed a vote of confidence on the capacity of FCT High Court judicial officers appointed under his watch.

Justice Salisu Garba will be functioning in acting capacity pending the confirmation of his appointment by the Nigerian Senate.
