Kaduna Governor lauds Troops For Eliminating Bandits

Kaduna State Governor in Northwest Nigeria, Senator Uba Sani has showered praises on troops of the Nigerian Army for their gallant efforts towards degrading and eliminating criminal elements in Kaduna state.

He particularly applauded the bravery of the troops in flushing out bandits from their hideouts in Kagarko-Iche, Takalafiya, Gidan Makeri and Jangala communities in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State. 

“The successes so far recorded have been attributed to increased surveillance and coordinated action of security forces.”

This was disclosed by Muhammad Lawal Shehu, Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor in a statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna.

It read that the Governor reiterated the resolve of his administration to forge partnerships with security forces to tackle the current and emerging security threats in Kaduna and its surrounding areas. 

“The increased cooperation between the state government and security forces is already paying off. The massive deployment of troops to troubled areas around Kaduna has led to a steady decline in banditry, kidnapping and other forms of crime and the resumption of economic activities.”

According to the statement, since resumption into office, Sani has held separate meetings with the newly appointed service chiefs namely.

The meetings with the service chiefs featured robust discussions on the need to consolidate successes recorded in the fight against insecurity and the Governor also pledged maximum cooperation and support of the state government.
