Kaduna Govt hails former Emir’s outstanding service to humanity

Kaduna State Acting Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe has described Muhammadu Sanusi ll as an eloquent ambassador for progressive possibilities, as he has provided distinguished service in various roles to humanity.

She made this known at the inaugural colloquium of Muhammadu Sanusi II which held in Kaduna.

Dr Hadiza said the colloquium rightly celebrates the former Emir as a highly cerebral man who had earned due recognition as an economist, a banker, and public intellectual of outstanding rigour and erudition long before he became the trailblazing and reforming Emir of Kano.

She described Sanusi ll as regal in bearing and yet most approachable of strong convictions who is always open to debate.

“His Highness is a member of the generation born around independence, raised in a period of optimism for our Country and determined to do their best to help realise the rich promise that Nigeria’s people and natural endowments have long suggested”.

The Acting Governor disclosed that Sanusi II has publicly associated himself with the reforms of Kaduna State by contributing to making lives better for the people.

She said Sanusi ll had also accepted to serve as Vice-Chairman of the board, Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency  and as Chancellor, Kaduna State University.

“As Emir of Kano, he attended many of our events, from our investment summits to the durbar we put together to celebrate the centenary of Kaduna City”.

In his speech, the Chief Host, Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli said he was delighted that the inaugural colloquium in honour of His Highness, Muhammadu Sanusi II was held in Kaduna.

He explained that the colloquium was an opportunity to avail citizens with the full knowledge about Sanusi’s background.

The Emir said, with the calibre of presenters at the event, the topic will be discussed thoroughly, stressing that the papers to be discussed will no doubt contribute immensely to the society.

The event is the first annual Muhammadu Sanusi II Colloquium 2021.
