Kaduna State Governor Calls For Judicial Efficiency To Combat Insecurity

The Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has emphasised the critical role of the judiciary in the ongoing battle against insecurity, saying delays in prosecution only embolden criminals.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of Justice Murtala Jafaaru Zubairu as a High Court Judge, Governor Sani called for a united front among law enforcement and judicial agencies to ensure timely justice.
“To effectively degrade and defeat criminal elements in Kaduna State, it is imperative that our prosecutorial agencies and the judiciary prioritize security and eliminate undue delays in prosecution,” he said.
The Governor pledged to enhance the working conditions for judicial personnel, thereby strengthening public trust in the justice system and improving access to justice for citizens.
He committed to fostering a collaborative relationship between the executive and judiciary, ensuring that justice service delivery aligns with legal standards.
Governor Sani said; “An efficient Criminal Justice System is essential for sustaining a stable, secure, and democratic society,” highlighting that revitalising the justice sector remains a key priority for his administration.
He urged the newly sworn-in Judge to execute his duties impartially and without fear.
He said; “The oath you have taken is a commitment to deliver justice without delay.”
Governor Sani further pointed out the severe consequences of delayed justice, which adversely affect victims, the accused, witnesses, and the public.
He praised the Kaduna State Judges as among the best in the country and encouraged them to uphold their integrity as the last hope of the common man.
