Kaduna State: Police deploys personnel for Eid-El-Kabir

Kaduna State Police Command has deployed over 10,000 personnel to give safety and security to worshipers at their respective worship centers, critical national infrastructures, markets, social and recreational centers, major highways and other public spaces.

The deployment is drawn from the command’s manpower and logistical resources comprising the conventional, tactical and intelligence assets all aimed at ensuring a hitch free celebration in the state.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Muhammad Jalinge and made available to journalist in Kaduna.

According to him, the arrangement is in line with the mandate and directive of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman to dominate and secure all public space.

He said the state Commissioner of Police, CP Yekini Ayoku has urged the general public to take their personal and family safety very serious and to warn their wards  against the use of fireworks  in public places, as violators will be severely dealt with in accordance with extant laws of the land.

The PPRO assured that, all public spaces have been secured, hence, calling on residents to go about their lawful activities without fear of intimidation or harassment from any quarter.

“Residents should report suspicious objects or persons through the designated Kaduna Police Command’s existing emergency contacts 07039675856 and 08075391105 for prompt and necessary action.”

“The CP equally advised road users to drive carefully and be conscious of their environment as well to cooperate with security operatives at every point of contact and need.”

The statement read that, the CP is felicitating with Muslim faithfuls in the state and urged them to pray for peace and security of the nation and Kaduna State in particular during this year’s 2022 Eid-el Kabir prayers.
