Kidnapped Kagara Students regain freedom

The 24 boys abducted from Government Science Secondary School, Kagara in Niger State, have been  released from captivity, this morning (Saturday 27th February).

The students and other memberrs of the school were abducted by bandits 11 days ago.

A top Police officer involved in the counter- kidnapping operation in the State said a total of 38 persons regained freedom from the captivity.

They include, 24 Students, three academic staff, one non academic staff and 10 family members of staff of the college.

The Police officer confirmed that non of them died during the captivity.

The boarding  students were abducted by bandits who were dressed in military uniforms on February 17, 2021.

Twenty-seven students, three staff members and 12 members of their families were abducted after the attack on the Kagara school .

Official details of their release are expected in the course of the day.
