Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has visited Tsanyawa and Shanono Local Government Areas to evaluate the security situation following fresh bandit attacks that left several residents dead and others abducted.
The governor, who toured the affected communities in the company of top security commanders and senior government officials, condemned the assaults, describing them as “strange and unacceptable.”
He pledged that his administration would take all necessary steps to stop the growing threat.
While addressing security personnel deployed to the troubled areas, Yusuf assured them of full government backing, including improved welfare, logistics, and operational support to strengthen the ongoing response.
Governor Yusuf also met with families of the victims, offering condolences and assuring them that the state government was working closely with security agencies to secure the release of those still in captivity.
He expressed confidence that, with sustained efforts and God’s intervention, peace would soon return to the affected communities and normalcy be restored.
