Kano Government Strengthens Ties with India

The Kano State Government in North West Nigeria has restated its commitement to strengthen relationship with India for socio-economic development of the state.
The commitment was made when Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf received Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Shri Balasubramanian who visited him at Government House, Kano.
The Governor said India and Kano State has a long history of bilateral relations in the areas of education, Health, Agriculture, Technology and Trade that needs to be strengthen for the mutual benefits of India and Kano State.
Attracted hundreds
Governor Yusuf acknowledged with happiness India’s fast development in education and health sectors that attracted hundreds of Kano indigenes in India’s Universities and on medical tourism.
He assured continuous collaboration with India to complete it’s two mega power projects in Tiga and Challawa for the revival of moribund industries and socio-economic development of the state.
Earlier, the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Shri Balasubramanian said he visited the governor to introduce himself and discussed ways of working together in many facets of human development.
He commended the Governor for executing viable projects and programmes aimed at improving the living condition of the teaming populace of Kano State.
