Kano Governor Applauds President Tinubu for reopening Nigeria-Niger Border

Kano state governor in North West Nigeria, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has praised President Tinubu for reopening the Nigeria-Niger border, saying it will significantly reduce hardship and facilitate ease of doing business between the two countries.

Governor Yusuf made this known while playing host to Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris in Kano city.

The Governor while Commending the president for the reopening of the border believes that such a move will make life easier and promotes people to people business.

Governor Yusuf also salutes Tinubu’s intervention programs in alleviating hardship faced as a result of removal of fuel subsidy in the country.

He also commended the Minister for his efforts in amplifying the policies and programmes of the Federal Government, assuring that Kano State is committed to supporting the Federal Government in tackling insecurity through the use of technology.

Governor Yusuf said, Kano is peaceful, though they had tackled cases of banditry and kidnappings in about ten Local Government Areas of the State.

He said the Kano State Government would continue to be on the same page with the Federal Government in the efforts to move Nigeria to greater heights.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation Alhaji Mohammed Idris informed Governor Yusuf that President Tinubu’s administration will support all Nigerians, irrespective of their party, religion and ethnic affiliations.

He also said that, Tinubu’s administration would ensure that Nigeria and Nigerians are better off through the various programmes and policies of his administration.

He assured federal government’s readiness to strengthen the presence of the Federal Government in the state.

He said the government is redoubling its efforts to fulfil its campaign promises and make life better for all Nigerians.
