Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has received 10 leadership excellence awards in recognition of his contributions to education, healthcare, and cultural development.
According to his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, “the honours were conferred during the 31st Executive Council Meeting at the Government House Annex, Kwankwasiyya City.”
The awards came from institutions and professional bodies, including the Conference of Provosts of Colleges of Islamic Studies of Nigeria, the Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies, the West African College of Physicians, and the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria.
Governor Yusuf was also honoured by women politicians appointed under his administration for his inclusion of over 100 women in key positions.
Other recognitions came from the Forum of Special Advisers and a cultural organisation for reviving traditional institutions and supporting local artisans.
In his response, the Governor expressed gratitude, pledging “to sustain his administration’s commitment to education, healthcare, and cultural preservation.”
