Kano Governor Makes Fresh Appointments, Reassigns Heads of Agencies, others

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the new appointments and redeployment of some Heads of Agencies and Special Advisers.

The Spokesperson to the Governor, Mr. Sanusi Bature announced this in a press statement.

Bature said the new appointments include renowned public health expert and hematologist, Dr. Ibrahim Musa, of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH), who is now the personal Physician to the Governor and Special Adviser on Health Services.

The press statement also disclosed that Dr. Hadiza Lawan Ahmad is now the Special Adviser, Investment and Public-Private Partnership while popular Kennywood Actor Sani Musa Danja is the Special Adviser, Youth and Sports.

Others are, Barr. Aminu Hussain, Special Adviser, Justice/Constitutional Matters; Dr. Ismail Lawan Suleiman – Special Adviser Population and Nasiru Isa Jarma Special Adviser on NGOs.

Bature explained that, Wada Ibrahim Daho is now the Permanent Commissioner 1, SUBEB; while Ado Danjummai Wudil will head the Executive Secretary, Guidance and Counselling Board and Dr. Binta Abubakar is the new Executive Secretary, Agency for Mass Education.

 

 

The Governor also appointed Abubakar Ahmad Bichi as Director General, Cottage and Street Hawking Agency; with Dr. Yusuf Ya’u Gambo appointed as Executive Chairman, Strategic Governance and Policy Coordination; Abdullahi Yaryasa Member, Assembly Service Commission.

Reassigned Political office holders are Kabiru Getso Haruna, now Executive Secretary, State Scholarship Board; Rabi’u Saleh Gwarzo, now Executive Secretary, Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB); Dr. Kabiru Ado Zakirai, now Executive Secretary, Kano State Library Board and Dr. Abubakar Musa Yakubu, now Medical Director, Government House Clinic.

Others are Yusuf Jibrin, Special Adviser Students’ Matters; Isa Musa Kumurya – Special Adviser, Marshals; Hajia Fatima Abubakar Amneef Special Adviser, Enlightenment and Social Mobilization; and Nura Iro Ma’aji Special Adviser, Employment.

The Governor’s spokesperson said, all the appointments and reassignments take immediate effect.
