Kano Governor Makes new Appointments to Enhance Governance

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has announced a fresh round of strategic appointments aimed at strengthening institutional efficiency and enhancing service delivery across the state.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Mr Sunusi Bature.

According to him, the appointments and their respective portfolios are as follows:

  • Dr Bashir A. Muzakkar – Appointed Director General of the Kano State Information and Communication Technologies Development Agency (KASITDA). He previously served as Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital and Creative Economy.

  • Kabiru Saidu Dakata – Appointed Director General of the Kano State Advert and Signage Agency (KASA).

  • Dr Fatima Abdul Abubakar – Appointed Director General of the Kano State Social Protection Agency (KASPA). She was formerly Special Adviser on Enlightenment and Social Mobilisation.

  • Engr Isyaku Umar – Appointed Deputy Managing Director of the Kano State Housing Corporation.

  • Hamisu Musa Gambo Danzak – Appointed Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board.

  • Barr Isma’il Nasarawa – Appointed Provost of the Anti-Corruption Institute.

  • Captain Mohd Maigaskiya (Rtd) – Appointed Commandant of the Corporate Security Institute.

Governor Yusuf expressed confidence in the competence and commitment of the new appointees, urging them to remain focused and dedicated to advancing the administration’s reform agenda and accelerating development across the state.
