Governor of Kano State, Dr Umar Ganduje has directed the resumption of all schools on 18th January 2021.
The governor approved a new academic calendar for 2020/2021 academic session for public and private primary and post-primary schools in the state.
This was contained in a statement issued by the state commissioner for education, Malam Sanusi Muhammad Kiru on Friday
Late last year the state government ordered the closure of schools 0n 15th December 2020 in the wake of the abduction of over 300 students in Katsina and the spike in COVID-19.
The statement directed those in boarding schools to resume on 17th January 2021.
