Kano Governor receives 2024 Hajj Report

The Kano State Governor in North West Nigeria, Abba Kabir Yusuf has received the 2024 Hajj Report with a promise to improve the 2025 Hajj operations and pilgrims’ welfare in the state.

He made the commitment at the Government House Kano when the management of the state Pilgrims Board led by the Director General, Lamil Dan Bappa presented the Report of the 2024 Hajj Report operations.

Governor Yusuf promised to ensure that, services for the next exercise are improved upon as well as the welfare of the pilgrims.

The Governor who was elated with the testimonies of the people on how the 2024 Kano pilgrims were treated by officials of the state Pilgrims Board, described the 2024 Hajj as the most successful one.

“I commend your efforts from the Amirul Hajj who is the Deputy Governor to the Pilgrims Board leadership up to the local government areas. Keep on doing the good work.”

He said the successes recorded are for the people of Kano and not only for the Hajj Board.

According to Governor Yusuf, receiving the 2024 Hajj report marks the commencement of the preparation for the 2025 Hajj exercise.

“With the receive of this Hajj Report, we have commenced preparations for the 2025 Hajj operations. We want to make it better for our people.”

The Kano state Amirul Hajj who is the Deputy Governor Aminu Abdulssalam expressed gratitude to the Governor for the support accorded for the Hajj exercise.

He informed Governor Yusuf of the care and attention given to the pilgrims in terms of good feeding and accommodation in the Holy land of Saudi Arabia adding that all the health needs of the pilgrims were taken care of by the medical team from the state.

The Director General Kano State Pilgrims Board, Laminu Rabi’u informed the Governor that, all the 3,125 Kano state Pilgrims have performed Hajj successfully and have returned safely.

He said already plans have commenced for the collection of deposits for next year’s Hajj exercise.

Rabi’u thanked Governor Yusuf for the support the enjoyed throughout the 2024 Hajj calling for more support.

The Chairman of the state Pilgrims Board Alhaji Yusuf Lawan appealed to the Governor for the early payment of accommodation for pilgrims and replacement of the old vehicles used in conveying pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

He also appealed for more support to the pilgrims board for better service in the subsequent Hajj operations.
