Kano Governor Welcomes Over 1,000 APC Members to NNPP

Kano State Governor in North West Nigeria Abba Kabir Yusuf has received over 1,000 members of the All Progressives Congress APC who decamped to the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP.

A press statement by the Deputy Governor’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu said, the decampees, from Shanono and Bagwai local government areas, were formally received by Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo on behalf of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the Kano State Government House.

The Governor who expressed delight emphasized that, the NNPP prioritizes unity and all members will be treated equally.

He reiterated the administration’s commitment to implementing programs that will benefit the entire Kano State and urged for continued support from residents for the state’s progress.

Speaking earlier, leader of the decampees Alhaji Haruna Abbas cited Governor Yusuf’s leadership qualities and governance style as reasons for their move.

He urged them on dedication to working with the NNPP for the betterment of Kano state.

Also Speaking, Kano NNPP Chairman Alhaji Hashimu Dungurawa welcomed the new members and assured their inclusion in the party activities.

He encouraged members of other parties, including the APC, to join the NNPP for the state’s advancement.

The event was attended well attended by prominent politicians and government officials in the state.
