Kano Journalists Greet Deputy Senate President On CFR Honour

The Leadership of the Correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kano Chapter has congratulated Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin, on his conferment with the prestigious honour of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The president in a nationwide broadcast announced the conferment of Barau along with Senate President and Speaker among others.

In a press statement, the Chairman Correspondent Chapel of NUJ Kano State Aminu Garko said “the conferment was well deserved.”

This well-deserved recognition is a testament to Senator Jibrin’s exemplary leadership and contributions to the development of Nigeria.”

“As a distinguished senator representing Kano North, you have demonstrated unwavering commitment to the welfare of not only your constituents, but the nation at large.”

We recognise that Senator Jibrin’s impressive political career spans over two decades, with notable achievements in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

His expertise in accounting and financial management has been invaluable in shaping Nigeria’s budgetary processes,” the statement reads.

We commend Senator Jibrin’s dedication to public service and his role in promoting the interests of Kano State and Nigeria. This honor not only reflects his individual achievements but also brings pride to the people of Kano State.

“We wish Senator Jibrin continued success in his endeavors and look forward to his continued service to the nation,” It added.
