Kano State Agency Reviews Master Plan For Modern City

The Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA) has commenced a workshop to review the Kano State Metropolitan City Master Plan.

The Managing Director, Urban Plan and Development Authority, Arch Hauwa Hassan, stated this at the stake holder workshop in Kano state, nothing that the agency’s mandate includes urban planning, infrastructure development, and land management, with the goal of transforming Kano into a modern, organized, and investment-friendly city.

Arch Hauwa said that the workshop aims to achieve several objectives, including urban renewal, infrastructure development, economic growth, and sustainable development.

“The agency’s vision is to make Kano a hub for commerce, innovation, and tourism by improving infrastructure, enhancing amenities, promoting investment, and preserving heritage” she said.

“The Executive Governor of Kano State has been appreciated for his guidance and support to the agency.

However, the Hon Commissioner of Land and Physical Planning has been commended for his consistent cooperation” she added.

Arch Hauwa, urge the, stakeholders, consultants, and invited guests to actively participate in the review process to create a master plan that will transform Kano into a thriving metropolis, providing opportunities for Kano State citizens and Nigeria at large.
