Kano State Assembly Loses Member, Deputy Senate President, Speaker Pay Tributes

A Kano State House of Assembly member representing Shanono/Bagwai Alhaji Halilu Ibrahim Kundila is dead.

Director, Press at the House of Assembly, Kamaludeen Shawai has confirmed the sad development. Although, Shawai could not confirm the cause of his death, it was reported that Kundila passed on early Sunday morning.

Before his demise, the Kano lawmaker distributed palliatives to his constituents recently in the spirit of Ramadan. Kundila, is one of the few members of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the assembly.

Meanwhile, the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has mourned the death of the state law maker Halilu Ibrahim Kundila.

Senator Barau in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, described the deceased as a committed lawmaker who worked for his people and humanity.

Also, the speaker Kano State House of Assembly jibrin Ismail Falgore has sent a message of condolences to the family of Hon Halilu Kundila, as well as the entire members of Kano State House of Assembly.

Falgore said the death of Kundila came at the critical time when his people and the entire people of Kano State need him most.

Falgore further said, Kundila’s death is a great loss not only to his family, Shanono and Bagwai local Governments but to the entire people of Kano State.
