Kano State Commissioner Commits To Improving Lives Of Vulnerable Individuals

Kano State’s Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Adamu Kibiya has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups.

Kibiya made the promise during his first official visit to Dorayi Babba Psychiatric Center and Shahuchi Old People’s Home.

Accompanied by the Executive Secretary of SEMA, Alhaji Abdullahi Isyaku Kubarachi, and other officials, the Commissioner assessed the facilities and commended the caretakers for their dedication to serving the most disadvantaged in society.

Kibiya assured residents of the centres that the Ministry, created by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, would prioritise their welfare.

He pledged to report the need for renovations and reconstructions to the Governor and promised to facilitate the permanent employment of casual staff to enhance their effectiveness.

The visit underscores the present administration’s focus on the welfare of vulnerable individuals, with the Commissioner vowing to bring lasting improvements to their living conditions.
