Kano State Deputy Governor Reaffirms Commitment To Education Development

The Kano State Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdussalam has re-affirmed his commitment to the development of education in the state.

He made the commitment when he commissioned an Islamic Primary School in his hometown, Gwarzo Local Government named Hajiya Talle Muhyiddeen Islamiyyah Primary School in honor of his mother.

The Deputy Governor said; “the school aims to provide students with a strong foundation in Islamic knowledge, including Qur’anic studies, moral values, and life skills to prepare them for future challenges.”

Abdulsalam also pledged to work closely with the School’s management to address its needs and ensure growth and sustainability.

The Deputy Governor expressed hope that students of the school would excel academically and participate in State, National, and International Qur’anic competitions, reflecting the institution’s quality and impact.

He also emphasised that the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf prioritised education citing the recently approved 2025 budget, which allocates 31% of the overall budget to education, covering both Islamic and Western educational development in Kano State.

He called on all elected Local government Chairmen and Councilors to remain close to their communities, engage with the people to understand their needs across all sectors, and devise sustainable strategies to address them effectively.
