The Kano State Hisbah Board in northern Nigeria has pledged to maintain its harmonious coexistence with non-governmental organizations all over the country with a view to achieving peaceful coexistence, in addition, to fighting what is forbidden in Islam among the diverse community groups.
The Commander General of the Board, Dr Harun Muhammad Sani Ibn Sina made the plea while receiving the executive members of the Pastoral Resolve, a nongovernmental organization in the country, working towards harmonious coexistence, in addition to security, held at the board’s headquarters in sharada, Kano state.
Dr Harun Ibn Sina further explained that this became imperatives in view of the important roles played by the Pastoral Resolve, under its program known as Community Information Participants Program (CIPP).
According to him, “This will enable participants from different parts of the country to comprehend Hisbah activities as well as culture and religion of the state, urging the visiting members to use the vast knowledge and experiences acquired during the visit and change their communities’ negatively.”
In his remarks at the occasion, the Director-General of the board, Dr Aliyu Musa Kibiya, described the visit as a welcome development in view of the board’s tracked records of history, adding that, this gives participants from Kogi state to know much on the board’s experience in managing their youth restiveness, Drugs abuse, Domestic violence and other vices in Kogi state.
The Pastoral Resolve Program manager, Malam Munji Sanusi briefed the Commander General and other key officers of the board that, his organization had organized a two-day learning exchange visit activity to Kano state for participants from Kogi State.
Malam Munji Sanusi also said in Kano, the Kogi state participants would also visit, Dala Fagge, Nassarawa, and Kano municipal local government areas and exchange ideas on security challenges and other anti-social vices.
