Kano State pledges more support for Corps Members

The Kano State Government in North West Nigeria says it will continue to provide necessary support to the National Youth Service Corps NYSC Scheme.

The Government also assured the NYSC of its commitment to support Youth Corps members posted to the state.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf made the commitment during the Inauguration of the Batch B Stream 1 2024 Corps members posted to the state at Kusalla, Karaye Local government area of the state.

The Governor Represented by Commissioner for Youths, Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso urged the corps members to respect the norms, values, and religion of their host communities, aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence.

“Let me also assure you that this administration will work with security agencies to guarantee your safety during the service year.

On our part, the State Government will continue to provide the enabling environment for you to discharge your responsibilities and reward those of you who excel during the service year. “

The NYSC Coordinator in Kano state, Hajiya Halima Abubakar, appreciated stakeholders, collaborating agencies, and camp officials for their contributions to ensure the orientation exercise’s success.

“On this note, It is my pleasure to inform our invited guests that with the level of commitment and dedication exhibited so far by this set of corps members, I am optimistic that we are going to have a smooth orientation exercise and hence a productive service year

I wish to express my profound gratitude to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Eng. Abba Kabir Yusuf for his remarkable and unwavering support to the NYSC Scheme Our special thanks also goes to all our stakeholders and collaborating agencies and the entire camp officials for their immense contributions to the success of this Exercise.”

The ceremony was attended by Head of Security agencies in Kano and other stakeholders.

Over one thousand youth corps members were posted to Kano state.
