The Kaduna State University (KASU) is to commence the study of Law and Engineering as soon as projects at the institution’s permanent site is completed.
This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor (VC) of the institution, Professor Abdullahi Musa while inspecting the ongoing projects at the institution’s permanent site, located at Rigachikun, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
While addressing newsmen after inspecting the ongoing construction of the Faculty of Law and Engineering, Prof Musa expressed satisfaction at the pace the projects were going.
Musa said with the level at which the projects were ongoing, in the next six months, they will be inviting the relevant professional bodies particularly the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) for resource verification to begin Law programme in the institution.
Access their resources
He explained that they will also invite NUC and the Nigerian Council for Regulation of Engineering to access their resources and facilities in order to kick start Engineering programmes in KASU.
According to the VC, the Education faculty was also in progress, while being optimistic that they would relocate to the permanent site fully by 2024.
He thanked the state Governor, Uba Sani for securing funding for the Engineering faculty from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
