The member representing Katsina Local Government Constituency at the Katsina state House of Assembly, Aliyu Abubakar Albaba has launched the distribution of Free Malaria Drugs to over 30 Health Care Centres in the constituency.

The launching for the distribution of the drugs which is aimed at controlling the spread of Malaria diseases in the area was held at Turai Umaru Musa Yar’adua Maternity and Children Hospital in Katsina.
Speaking during the distribution ceremony, the Lawmaker said the distribution of the free drugs to various Primary health care in the constituency is geared toward complementing the efforts of the state’s administration toward improving health care delivery especially among vulnerable persons in the state.
Aliyu Albaba acknowledged the efforts of the Katsina state Government in the supply and provision of adequate drugs and medical facilities across generals and primary health care centers in the state.
“This is our contribution as the representatives of the people to complement government’s efforts, and to express our appreciation through this donation which means our gratefulness to the the state government under our amiable Governor, Malam Dikko Radda over what he has been doing, especially improving health care delivery to our people and the state at large”, the lawmaker maintained.
He said the free malaria drugs are to be distributed to all the 36 health care centers in the constituency.
Aliyu Albaba said that “It is estimated that 6000 persons will benefit from this gesture through the benefitting health care centres across Katsina Local Government Constituency”.
He pointed out that the Katsina General Hospital, Turai Yar’adua Children and Maternity Center, Comprehensive Health Centres and all the Primary Health Care Centers in the constituency will benefit from the gesture.
Speaking while launching the distribution of the Malaria Free Drugs provided by the Lawmaker, The Katsina state Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda described the gesture by the Lawmaker as timely
The Governor who was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff, Jabiru Abdullahi Tsauri while thanking the Lawmaker for the provision of drugs said the gesture has complemented the effort of the state Government toward improvement of health care delivery to the people of the state.
Jabiru Tsauri called on the in charges of the benefitting hospitals to ensure the judicious utilization of the acquired drugs in order to achieve the desired results.
Highlights of the occasion include the presentations of the malaria free drugs to the in charges of the benefitting health centers in the constituency.
