Kebbi State Boosts Cultural Heritage With N50m Royal Boat

The Kebbi State Government has approved N50 million for the procurement of a modern royal boat for the Emir of Yauri, Dr Zayyanu Abdullahi in a move to promote cultural heritage and traditional institutions.
This development came during the turbaning of Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, as Dan-Madamin Yauri, alongside two others, by the Emir of Yauri at his palace in Ya’uri, Kebbi State.
The Minister advised Nigerians to utilise the country’s vast land for dry-season farming to reverse the anticipated trend.
He also urged Nigerians to seek divine intervention to address the nation’s lingering challenges.
In his speech, the Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State emphasised the importance of traditional title holders working together to sustain peace in the area.
He also commissioned the Yauri palace, which was renovated by the Emirate following the state government’s allocation of funds.
The Emir of Yauri, Dr Zayyanu Abdullahi, expressed gratitude to the governor for executing developmental projects across various sectors in the state.
Others who received traditional titles include; former Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah and Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Birnin Yauri.
