Kogi Government to Collaborate with NABTEB to Enhance Technical Education

The Kogi State Government has expressed its commitment to collaborating with the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) to improve the quality of technical and vocational education in the state.

Governor Ahmed Ododo made this known on Wednesday in Lokoja during a meeting with the State Coordinator of NABTEB, Mrs Pauline Ajibili, and other board officials.

Ododo, represented by his deputy, Mr Joel Salifu, described education as the foundation of society. He emphasised the crucial role of technical and vocational education in fostering self-reliance among individuals in the state and the nation at large.

The governor highlighted the importance of embracing modern trends in technical and vocational education, warning that societies resistant to such advancements risk severe consequences.

He pledged to engage relevant stakeholders to support the realisation of NABTEB’s objectives in the state and commended the ongoing collaboration with the Federal Government to leverage national policies on technical and vocational training.

Ododo reaffirmed the state’s commitment to advancing vocational and technical education for the benefit of its people.

In her remarks, NABTEB’s State Coordinator, Mrs Pauline Ajibili, expressed gratitude to the Kogi State Government for its continued support of the May/June NTC-NBA Examinations for candidates from the State Government Technical College.

She praised Ododo’s leadership, describing it as truly inspiring, and appealed for the establishment of additional technical schools in the state.
