Kogi Guber: SDP Raises Alarm On Rising Cases Of Insecurity

As Nigerians count down to the November 11 Gubernatorial election in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo States, the National leadership of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, has raised concern over the growing cases of violence and insecurity in Kogi State.

The National Chairman of the SDP, Mr. Shehu Gabam called on Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address the issue of insecurity in Kogi ahead of the poll.

According to Gabam who was flanked by the members of the National Working Committee of the Party, “the SDP is worried about the level of growing insecurity ahead of the election.

Mr. Gabam expressed optimism that the candidate of his Party, Mr. Muritala Ajaka would emerge victorious despite all odds.

He noted that “The people of Kogi State are yearning for a change and our great Party is the one they are waiting for we are ready to change the narrative of bad governance in Kogi State, and we are calling on President Tinubu as the father of the nation to restore peace in the state.”

Mr. Gabam said that President Tinubu should see the off-cycle gubernatorial elections in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo States as an avenue to prove his leadership qualities before the International Community by ensuring peaceful, credible and acceptable elections.
