The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adeiza Abdulazeez, made this known at the 2025 quarterly performance dialogue held in Lokoja.

He said data-driven decision-making plays a critical role in improving healthcare delivery in the state.

Abdulazeez noted that the state had made significant progress in strengthening health systems, improving service delivery, and enhancing citizens’ overall well-being.

He expressed confidence that the dialogue would produce rich, insightful discussions, resulting in actionable recommendations to propel the state forward.

Represented by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Mr Steven Momoh, the commissioner assured of government’s commitment to harnessing data for meaningful change in healthcare systems.

“The ministry looks forward to implementing the recommendations and strategies that will be discussed during the event.

“With this initiative, the state is poised to make significant strides in improving healthcare outcomes and enhancing the well-being of its citizens.

“Let us work together to harness the power of data and drive meaningful change in our healthcare systems,” he added.

The Desk Officer, Sector-Wide Approach (SWAp) Kogi, Dr Emmanuel Bola Jonah, said the dialogue aimed to assess performance in key health indicators at state and local levels.
