Kogi State Governor felicitates Christians at Easter

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has greeted Christians on the occasion of the Easter celebration as he urged Nigerians to emulate Christ’s sacrificial life.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed, on Friday in Abuja, the Governor also congratulated Christians on the successful completion of the Lenten season

He urged them to use the season to pray for the peace of the country and wisdom for leaders.

“Just as the death, burial and resurrection of Christ signify hope for mankind, there must be a rekindling of hope for our nation in this season of great challenges.

“I, therefore, urge Christians to reflect on critical issues affecting the nation and to continue seeking the face of God for the nation.

“So that security, unity and peace will prevail in the overall national interest,” Bello stated.

He added that security operatives and other collaborating agencies are working round-the-clock to checkmate crime and secure the lives and properties of the residents.
