Kwara 2023 : SDP Gubernatorial Candidate unveils clergyman as running mate

Ahead of the 2023 General Election, the Kwara State Social Democratic Party (SDP) Gubernatorial Candidate Hakeem Lawal, has named Rev. Joshua Olayinka Olakunle as his running mate.

This was contained in a statement released by the Party’s state Chairman, Alhaji Abdulazeez Afolabi on Monday.

According to the SDP, Rev. Olakunle is a University of Ibadan trained lecturer and clergyman who rose through the ranks to become a chief lecturer at the Kwara State College of Education, Oro before his retirement in 2008.

“The Astute Academician who is from Ora in Ifelodun local government area of the state bagged a bachelor Library and Information Science and masters degree in religious studies from the prestigious university of Ibadan in 1983 and 1988 respectively, and a postgraduate Diploma in Education from University of Ilorin 1994.”

“He is a passionate community leader who has served kwara south socio-cultural groups and Igbomina Land.”
