The Kwara State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of Mariam Nna Fatimah Imam (Edu LGA) and Dr. Lawal Olalekan Olorungbebe (Ilorin West LGA) as Commissioners in the State Executive Council.
The confirmation was done at plenary at the floor of the Kwara State House of Assembly on Wednesday presided over by the Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danladi Salihu, who recalled the message from Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, requesting the screening and confirmation of the nominees.
During the plenary, both nominees appeared before the House and were screened accordingly before being confirmed after deliberations at the Committee of the whole.
Following their confirmation, the Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to formally communicate the decision to the Governor.
