The First Lady of Kwara State and Founder of the Ajike People Support Center, Ambassador Olufolake Abdulrazaq has bagged the University of Lagos Alumni Association Award.
The Alumni Association at an event held at the Lagos Intercontinental Hotel to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the University of Lagos, Southwest, Nigeria, presented the Diamond Jubilee Distinguished Alumni Award to the wife of the Kwara State governor.
The diamond jubilee distinguished alumni award which was presented to her by the first female Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folashade Ogunsola of the university, is in recognition of her contributions to National development and promotion of women and youth development.
In her acceptance speech, the awardee recounted her time at the University of Lagos saying that the education she received both within and outside the classroom at the university prepared her to contribute to an increasingly advanced and interconnected global society.
She commended the Alumni Association of the University of Lagos for responding to the needs of their alma mater, while she congratulated other distinguished awardees at the event and thanked the association under the leadership of Mr. John Momoh for organizing the event.
