Kwara Governor Hails Dr. AbdulRazaq’s Induction into Body of Benchers

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated Dr. Alimi AbdulRazaq, a renowned legal expert and Mutawali of Ilorin, on his induction into Nigeria’s prestigious Body of Benchers, the highest regulatory authority in the nation’s legal profession.

The Body of Benchers is responsible for overseeing the formal call to the Bar for aspiring lawyers and upholding disciplinary standards within the legal community.

Dr. AbdulRazaq, the elder brother of the governor, continues a family legacy, following in the footsteps of his late father, AGF AbdulRazaq, SAN, who served as the chairman of the distinguished body from 1983 to 1984.

The state governor described the induction as a recognition of Dr. AbdulRazaq’s dedication, discipline, and leadership in the legal profession. He urged him to continue his legacy of ethical leadership and community service.

Similarly, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, lauded Dr. AbdulRazaq’s induction as a well-deserved honor, highlighting his contributions to the legal field and his status as the first person from Ilorin Emirate to earn a PhD in law.

Established in 1962, the Nigerian Body of Benchers remains a cornerstone of the legal profession, maintaining its high standards and integrity.
