Kwara Horse Club Unveils World-Class Resort In Ilorin.

Ilorin in Kwara State, Nigeria, is set to emerge as a major destination for polo sports and leisure tourism, following the formal unveiling of the Kwara Horse Club and Resort, a world-class equestrian facility established to drive sports development and economic growth.

Speaking at Guild of Digital Journalists (GDJ) Monthly Interface, the Chief Executive Officer of the Club, Muhammed Gobir, said the Horse Club is situated at Ogele in Asa Local Government Area of the State for the benefit of the residents.

Gobir said that with available facilities in place, the Kwara State Horse Club has the capacity to host Polo Sports tournament as a prominent member of Nigeria Polo Federation.

He added that only few states in Nigeria including Kano and Kaduna organise Polo in Nigeria and expressed the Club’s readiness to stage the unique sport.

The Horse Race Enthusiast said the Horse Club would also provide opportunity for employment of Kwarans, particularly in learning horse riding, horse care and horse feeding to enable them self reliant.

He explained that Kwara Horse Club and Resort is embedded with a Hotel, horse lounge, viewing and massage centres for prospective clients.

Gobir noted that, Ilorin, the state capital is known for annual durbar as the Club would be helpful in horse supply for potential riders.

The Chief Executive Officer maintained that he is in partnership with some sponsors, who have made immense contributions to the success of the club so far. Gobir maintained that the Horse Club is close to the General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport and assured customers of adequate security.

He therefore called on horse owners to patronise the Kwara Horse Club in horse maintenance and care to insulate them against chronic diseases and untimely death.
