The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has congratulated Christian faithful on the occasion of the 2025 Christmas celebration.
The monarch, in a message issued by his Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, emphasised on peaceful coexistence, unity, and moral uprightness as panaceas for promoting religious harmony in the society.
He added that, “No sacrifice is too much for the actualisation of the desired unity, peace, growth and development in Nigeria stressing that tolerance and forgiveness will play pivotal roles in the collective interest of all.”
The Emir also appealed to residents of Ilorin Emirate and beyond to sustain the prevailing peace in the state, by shunning acts that could lead to the breakdown of law and order.
He however advocated for unity among all citizens, regardless of tribe or religion, describing Ilorin Emirate as a melting pot of cultures and traditions with high regards for human life, thereby calling for a collective effort against idleness, crimes and criminality.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari therefore urged christian faithfuls to use the occasion of the Christmas festival to reflect positively and pray more for peaceful coexistence globally and Nigeria in particular, against insecurity and some other social challenges.
