Kwara: New NDLEA Commander assumes duty

The new Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kwara state Command, Hajiya Abiola has assumed duty in the state

She took over from Mohammed Bashir who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Commander General of Narcotics and posted to the agency’s office at the headquarters in Abuja as the Deputy Director for Drug Demand Reduction.

Bashir formally presented the hand over documents to the new Commander at a ceremony which marked the beginning of a new era in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking in the state.

In his remarks, ACGN Bashir expressed his appreciation for the support and cooperation received during his tenure and urged the officers and men of the command to extend the same courtesy to the new Commander.

He also commended the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Retired Brigadier Buba Marwa and the entire management team of the agency for their guidance and support.

The new Commander, Hajiya Abiola  thanked the former Commander for his dedication and commitment to the agency’s mission and pledged to build on the achievements recorded during his tenure.

She also assured the command of her resolve to intensify the fight against drug abuse and trafficking in Kwara State, and solicited the support and cooperation of the management team in this regard.
