Kwara: Panels to Colleges of Education submit Reports

The Committees of visitation panels to the three Colleges of Education in Ilorin, Oronand Lafiagi in Kwara State, North Central Nigeria have submitted their reports to the State Government.
Receiving the reports from the committees in her office, the State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Ronke Arinde applauded members of the committee for the high level of commitment and sense of professionalism displayed by them.
She thanked the state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for setting up the visitation panels, which she said, is timely and would enhance academic progression in the institutions.
The Commissioner maintained that the Governor AbdulRazaq- led administration had invested hugely and offered priority attention to tertiary education system in the state.
Dr. Arinde said that the Ministry has no doubt that the report would serve as guiding manual for the state government in the transformation of the Colleges.
Having worked tirelessly at ensuring the success of the assignment, the Commissioner added that the assignment is priceless and prayed for an enriched wisdom, increased knowledge, and devine strength for the committee members.
In his remarks, Professor Jawondo Ibrahim, who chaired the visitation panel for the College of Education, Oro, thanked Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for finding them worthy to serve and assist in the educational reformation of the state tertiary education system.
Prof. Jawondo of the University of Ilorin applauded the management of the three Colleges of Education, noting that the just concluded visitation panels assignment had exposed the outstanding competence of personnel that were placed to drive the objective, goal and policy thrust of the three Colleges of Education in the state.
While presenting a letter of commendation to the Commissioner, the visitation panels members commended  her exceptional roles towards the success of the execution of the all-important assignment, aimed at taking tertiary education system in the state to greater heights.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the visitation panel to College of Education (Technical), Lafiagi, Professor Otunola Tejumola appreciated the Governor for the brilliant initiative of the visitation panels designed towards the reformation of the Colleges of Education.
Prof. Tejumola also commended the Commissioner for Tertiary Education for her display of professionalism, right attitude, maturity, high sense of responsibility, and the encouragement she offered in the execution of the assignment.
He added that College of Education (Technical), Lafiagi, has the potential to generate revenue that could further enhance the development and self  sustainability of the institution.
Prof. Tejumola, however, called on the state government to pay  unique attention to the college, especially in resucitating the Tetfund Project in the College
