The Kwara State Government, North Central Nigeria has again donated 500 mattresses to support camping at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Yikpata, Edu Local Government Area of the state, underlying its continuous commitment to the welfare of the corp members.

The mattresses were handed over by the Commissioner for the Ministry of Youths Development, Nafisat Musa Buge, who emphasised that the government was out to make the stay of corps members in the camp easy and memorable.

The procurement of the mattresses has shown the continued collaboration between the NYSC and the state government, she added.

“His Excellency is out to give our corp members memorable and comfortable stay during the compulsory three (3) weeks orientation course at the camp ground, Yikpata. He is a father for all, and this act again shows the Governor’s immense support to the NYSC and its belief in the service to fatherland,” the Commissioner disclosed.

Buge, who explained that the mattresses were available for use by all the Corp members in the state, urged the NYSC to ensure proper maintenance.

Earlier, the Kwara NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Onifade Olaoluwa Joshua, appreciated the government’s gesture and assured of the judicious use of the mattresses.
