Kwara State First Lady bags Sun Newspaper Award

The First Lady of Kwara State North Central Nigeria, Ambassador Professor Olufolake Abdulrazaq has been honoured with the award of the First Lady of the Year 2023 by the Sun Newspaper.

 

According to the organisers of the award, the Founder of Ajike People Support Centre and Chairperson of Nigeria Governors Spouses’ Forum was given the award on merit and recognition of the impact of her interventions in promoting the welfare of the people, Kwara State and the society at large.

 

In her reactions to the event, Ambassador AbdulRazaq expressed his gratitude to the organisers for honouring her with the prestigious award.

 

“Sincere gratitude to the leadership and management of the Sun Newspaper for honouring me with the prestigious award of the First Lady of the Year 2023.

 

“The award is in recognition of the impact of my interventions in promoting the welfare of the people of Kwara State and the society at large with the active support of the Governor and the Kwara State Government,” she said.

 

While acknowledging her efforts, the Chairperson of the Nigeria Governors Spouses Forum, AbdulRazaq lauded other first ladies for their support.

 

“I also acknowledge the work that I do with all other First Ladies as the Chairperson of the Nigeria Governors Spouses Forum and thank them for the team effort in our interventions,” she said.

 

She, however, assured that “this recognition will no doubt stand as inspiration to contribute even more to the development of our society,” she added.

The award ceremony took place in Lagos, South-West Nigeria.
