Kwara Sugar Factory Film Studio in Ilorin Kwara State was filled to the brim for the second time this year as Nollywood stars, movie enthusiasts and representatives of the government gathered at the premiere of “The Seat” and “Apaji” by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Muka Ray Eyiwumi.
The event, which was said to be a celebration of Kwara State’s rich cultural heritage and growing entertainment industry, Governor Abdulrazaq and Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) Chairman expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made the premiere of the movies a huge success.
Governor Abdulrazaq, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Elder Kayode Alabi, acknowledged the presence of veteran Nollywood actors and actresses, including Dele Odule, Peju Ogunmola, Olaiya Igwe, and Pa Ajirebi.
He noted that their presence made the event unforgettable and enjoyable for all.
Muka Ray also appreciated therepresentation of Her Excellency, Ambassador (Prof.) Olufolake Abdulrazaq, by the Kwara State Commissioner for Communication, Bola Olukoju.
He lauded the Senior Adviser and Counselor to the Governor, Alhaji Sa’adu Salau; the Special Adviser on Special Duties, Abdulrazaq Jiddah; the commissioners and other top government functionaries present.
Governor Abdulrazaq reiterated his administration’s commitment to promoting the arts and entertainment industry in Kwara State, and looks forward to continuing to work with stakeholders to achieve this goal.
On their part, Mr Dele Odule, Olaiya Igwe and Mrs Peju Ogunmola, Pa Ajirebi and other Nollywood stars present commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for investing hugely in the creative industry, adding that his investment in the entertainment industry would start yielding fruits in no time.
