The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the appointment of Etsu Patigi, Alhaji Umar Bologi II, as the Amirul-Hajj for the year 2023 Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.
Amirul Hajj also called the Head of Delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this year’s pilgrimage exercise is to support the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board in its efforts to make the stay of Pilgrims in the Holy Land worthwhile.
Amirul Hajj will also provide the pilgrims the spiritual support to perform the rites of Hajj.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the board, Jimoh Jumoke.
The monarch is also the Vice Chairman of the State Council of Traditional Chiefs.
Meanwhile, the Board under the Chairmanship of Dr. Abdulkadir Sambaki and the Executive Secretary, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir have welcomed the appointment of the revered monarch as preparations for the 2023 Hajj continue ahead of the inaugural flight which would be announced in due course.
