Kwara State Lawmakers Confirm Substantive Grand Khadi, Justice Kamaldeen

Kwara State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Hon. Justice Abdul-lateef Kamaldeen as the substantive Grand Khadi of the State Court of Appeal.
The confirmation was made on the floor of the House at the Committee of Whole Chaired by the Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danladi Salihu following thorough screening of the erudite jurist at Plenary.
Reacting to questions from lawmakers, Hon. Justice Abdul-lateef Kamaldeen promised the lawmakers to extend Shariah Court Rooms to the nooks and crannies of the state for easy access to Shariah Justice.
He assured them that the outcome of a Special Committee, which consists of the members of academia and legal practitioners, would serve as a guide in extending Shariah Court rooms to where they are needed in different parts of the State outside the State capital.
Speaking on the rampant cases of divorce in the society, the eminent jurist recommended reconciliation through Alternative Disputes Resolution as the best option against litigation.
Justice Kamaldeen harped on the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanism to reduce marriage disintegration among couples in contemporary society.
This he said would be made popular among the people through public sensitization.
Also at Plenary, the Lawmaker representing Kaiama-Kemanji-Wojibe Constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Halidu-Danbaba raised a Matter of General public importance appreciating President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and BUA Group for the approval of construction of four major roads in the state by Federal Government.
