Kwara State Police Pledges Enhanced Security Collaboration With Relevant Bodies

The Kwara State Police Command has reiterated its commitment to partner with relevant bodies and unions to improve the security of lives and properties across the state.

The State Commissioner of Police CP Victor Olaiya stated this while playing host to the Executives Members of Radio Television Theater and Arts Workers Union, RATTAWU in his office.

According to CP Olaiya, every member of the society must join hands with all security Agencies to secure the land.

The police boss called on parents to keep close monitoring of their wards against drug abuse as the menace is alarming.

He reiterated the dedicated efforts of the police and other security agencies in the state to protect the lives and properties of all law-abiding citizens.

According to him, “the identity of people that give genuine information about criminals and their hideouts will be treated with topmost secrecy and rewarded accordingly.”

The state Chairman of RATTAWU, Comrade Usman Oke said the Union was on a familiarisation tour and to intimate the Commissioner of Police about the forthcoming RATTAWU week and Award dinner where some outstanding personalities including Police officers would be honoured.

Oke however called on the Nigeria Police to be professional, diligent and redouble their efforts in tackling all kinds of Crimes particularly drug abuse, kidnappings, insurgency and cultism.
