Kwara State To Pass 2024 Appropriation Bill After Legislative Scrutiny

The Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly, North Central Nigeria, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu says the 2024 appropriation bill will be passed into law by Lawmakers, after the ongoing thorough legislative scrutiny.

Danladi-Salihu said this while speaking at a special prayer organised in Ilorin to seek divine guidance and blessings for the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

“We are at the committee level and very soon the budget will be passed. In terms of the implementation, as soon as the budget is passed, there are lots of things that would benefit kwarans across the twenty-four constituencies that would move the state forward,” the Speaker assured.

Danladi-Salihu gave an assurance that the budget would positively impact the lives of Kwarans irrespective of political, religious, or ethnic affiliation.

The Speaker also expressed gratitude to God for granting Governor AbdulRazaq a successful first term in office and also commended kwarans for supporting the  Governor whom he described as People’s Governor.

“We thank God Almighty for giving our leader, the Governor of the state and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum,  AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq a successful and peaceful first term in office and also for giving him another mandate for a second term in office. 

“We also thank the good people of Kwara State for voting for Governor AbdulRazaq for a second term and supporting his administration to turn around the state for the better. We look onto God for a more peaceful and successful tenure of Governor AbdulRazaq in the second term in office“, the Speaker stated while speaking with newsmen at the event.

The special prayer which was organised by Alhaji Baba Rauf, a brother to the Governor was attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly,  Ojo Olayiwola Oyebode, House Leader; Abdulkadir Oba Magaji and other lawmakers in the Tenth and Ninth Assemblies as well as Religious, Traditional and community leaders, and APC leadership among others.
