KWSIEC Presents Certificates of Return to Elected Chairmen

The Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission, KWSIEC has presented certificates of return to the newly elected chairmen of the 16 local government areas in the state.

The  Chairman of the commission, Muhammad Okanla-Baba, congratulated the winners and expressed gratitude to them for their maximum cooperation during the electioneering process by playing and abiding by the rules of the game.

According to him, their conducts and maximum understanding has yielded the results which the commission witnessed.

Okanla–Baba said this has made the election to be free and fair to all the participants.

“I congratulate all the winners and I encourage you all to return back the trust reposed on you by the people by delivering the dividends of democracy to the people at the grass roots level,” he said.

The Chairman commended the peaceful conduct of the people during the elections.

“We commend political parties for their commitment to a peaceful election, which did not record any major casualty and the people of Kwara State for trooping out en masse to exercise their civic rights,” he added.

Kwara State had on Saturday, September 21st, voted their preferred candidates to fill the positions of Chairmen in the 16 local Goverbments areas of the State.
