The Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate for the 2025 Anambra State elections, Valentine Ozigbo, has expressed his gratitude to the Obidient Movement for their endorsement and support at the recent 2024 South-East Good Governance Symposium.

The event, held at the All Saints Cathedral Auditorium in Onitsha, provided a platform for discussions on transformative leadership and the future of Anambra State.

Organized in collaboration with Anambra State Support Groups and supported by the VCO Foundation and Naija We Can, the symposium focused on promoting transparency and accountability in governance.

Ozigbo commended the movement for their dedication to positive change and reaffirmed his commitment to reshaping Anambra’s future.

Receiving endorsements from key groups like the Peter Obi Support Network and Women for Peter Obi, Ozigbo highlighted the challenges faced by the current administration in Anambra, including issues of security, policy setbacks, and constitutional oversight.

He emphasized the need for unity and meaningful change in the state.

Presenting his policy document, ‘Ka Anambra Chawapu,’ Ozigbo outlined his vision for a brighter and more prosperous Anambra, emphasizing the importance of integrity, vision, and responsibility in governance.

Ozigbo called for unity and determination in the pursuit of a brighter future for Anambra, saying, “In Nigeria, we are Obidient. In Anambra, we are VALiantly Obidient,” supporters should join us in advancing positive change across the state.

The people must come together to ensure that they wrestle power from the incumbent.”

Ozigbo extended special thanks to his political leader, Mr. Peter Obi and to Dr. Tanko Yunusa for their guidance and steadfast commitment to the ideals of good governance.

He also acknowledged key organisers, including Dr. Mo Paul, Okon Lagos, Nana Kazaure, Ibrahim Abdulkarim, Ikenna Azomchine, Mazi Tochukwu Ezeoke, Dan Elombah, and others whose dedication made the event a success.

With the 2025 gubernatorial election on the horizon, Ozigbo called on Anambra residents to unite and work towards a better future for the state.
